Kin
Domains
The primary concept in the Ringing Cedar's series is what is known as a "Kin's Domain".
A Kins Domain is a plot of land for the permanent residence of a family, one hectare (100m x
100m) in size. On this a family can build their house, plant ancestral trees, their own forest,
orchards and gardens, and construct a pond. The perimeter of a Kin's Domain is enclosed by a Living Fence of forest plants such as cedar, coniferous and deciduous
trees, and shrubs.

The Kin's Domain represents the solution to many problems involving the family. It is:
- A comfortable residence
- A worthy space for living (which is suitable for everyone)
- A place where there is enough space for man, animals, and plants alike.
- An organisation of living space according to the principle of "everything at hand."
Thus, for the owners of Kin's Domains, there is no longer the need to go to the cellar according to a
schedule. To go "to the ends of the earth" to get to a country house. To grow potatoes in a separate
spot. To go out of town to breathe the forest air or find a water hole to bathe in.

Kin domains are designed from inception to be self-sufficient and self-regulating. In the words of
Anastasia, "You should eat as your breathe".
Financially the most expensive part of modern "village" settlements are centralized life-support systems -
kilometres of trenches, pipes, wires, hundreds of poles for electrical power lines, etc.
One of the necessary features of Kin's Domains is their autonomy. Each domain is designed from
inception to be totally self-sufficient and self-regulating. Thus living on a kins domain will not only be
healthier both spiritually and physically, but your cost of living will fall dramatically as well.
In
addition, each owner of a kins domain will structure their domain in accordance with the guidelines set
out in Book 3, Chapters 26 to 29 of the Ringing Cedars series “Co-Creation”. In summary
these are:
(a) The domain is not smaller than an area 100m x 100m in size.
(b) It is to be
surrounded by a living fence.
(c) One half or more is to be planted as forest where such forest is not
already present. This forest will contain structures for the keeping of beneficial livestock (such as goats,
chickens, bees, etc) as well as a space for meetings / meditation / gatherings.
(d) The domain shall have a pond or lake at
least 16 meters across.
(e) It will have
gardens for the production of food for residents of the kins domain. Such gardens will be designed to
ecologically self-sustainable and will contain food bearing crops.
(f) It is to contain a home that is constructed
using as much as possible ecologically sustainable building practices and materials by the owner of the
domain.
