Gardening

A garden is any environment that is initiated by Man, given its purpose and direction by Man and maintained
with the help of Man. For nature to consider something to be a garden, we must see Man actively involved in
all three of these areas. It is the human who calls for a garden to exist. Once the call is made, nature responds
accordingly to support that defined call because a garden exists through the use of form.1

“[Today Man’s gaze] has not all
gone. Enough of it is still around, but vanity, superficial thinking, a
different speed of thought, a misapprehension of basic concepts and apathy
have darkened perception, and prevented it from opening up to what everybody
expects of Man. Inside each one of us a warm heart abides. Oh, if only each
one of use could open wide to everything! All reality could then be
transmogrified into a magnificent pristine
garden.”
